iLASIK (iDesign Wavefront)

iLASIK is an eye surgery method performed to eliminate dependence on glasses or contact lenses. It is known as “laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis.” In this procedure, a laser reshapes the cornea of the eye to correct vision problems.

iLASIK provides an effective solution for vision disorders such as myopia and astigmatism. However, it may not be suitable for everyone. Therefore, before any surgical procedure, a detailed eligibility examination by an ophthalmologist is essential.

iLASIK (iDesign Wavefront) Procedure

Eye Examination:
First, an ophthalmologist performs a comprehensive eye examination to determine whether your eyes are healthy and suitable for the procedure. Measurements are taken, and the cornea is analyzed in detail.

Anesthesia:
The iLASIK procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Numbing eye drops are applied to ensure comfort during the treatment.

Laser Treatment:
The ophthalmologist creates a personalized map based on the unique characteristics of your eye. This map guides the laser to target the correct areas. Using an excimer laser device, the cornea is reshaped to correct refractive errors that require glasses or contact lenses.

Recovery:
After the procedure, you may experience symptoms such as mild discomfort, burning, or watering for a few hours. Your doctor will provide specific post-operative instructions. Following these guidelines carefully and attending regular check-ups will help speed up the recovery process.

iLASIK surgery typically takes 15–20 minutes, and the entire procedure is completed on the same day. In iLASIK applications, the treatment is planned individually using wavefront and iDesign technology, allowing even the smallest visual imperfections to be corrected. With the use of femtosecond laser technology, blade-free incisions are possible, which contributes to increased safety and treatment success.

• Pre – evaluation: If, following the examination and diagnostic tests, the patient is found not suitable for the procedure and the operation cannot be performed, a total fee of 300 EUR will be charged to cover consultation, diagnostics, transfer, and accommodation costs.
